Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues you may encounter when connecting MetaMask to Arbitrum, and how to resolve them:


❌ MetaMask Fails to Connect

Symptoms:

  • Network doesn’t appear after clicking “Save”

  • Connection times out or shows an error

Solutions:

  • Double-check that all fields (RPC URL, Chain ID, etc.) are entered exactly as shown

  • Make sure there are no extra spaces or typos in the RPC URL

  • Try refreshing MetaMask or restarting your browser


❌ Arbitrum Network Added, But Not Visible

Symptoms:

  • You successfully added Arbitrum, but it’s not showing in the network dropdown

Solutions:

  • Click the MetaMask icon to re-open it (it may have minimized)

  • If needed, go to Settings → Networks to verify that Arbitrum is listed


❌ Tokens Don’t Show Up

Symptoms:

  • ETH is visible, but USDC, USDT, or other tokens are missing

Solutions:

  • Add the token manually using its contract address

  • You can find verified addresses on Arbiscan Tokens


❌ Wrong Network Selected

Symptoms:

  • You're trying to use Arbitrum dApps, but they say “Wrong network”

Solutions:

  • Make sure “Arbitrum One” is selected in MetaMask

  • Switch networks manually from the dropdown


❌ Transactions Not Showing on Arbiscan

Symptoms:

  • You made a transaction but can’t find it on Arbiscan

Solutions:

  • Confirm you're searching the correct wallet address

  • Wait a few seconds—block confirmations may be delayed

  • Double-check that you’re viewing the Arbitrum chain, not Ethereum Mainnet
